Join us for a nearly two hour guided tour aboard The Liberty to discover the Secrets of the Schuylkill!
The tour given by Bruce Laverty of the Philadelphia Athenaeum will highlight historic sites and the history of our waterways, as well as recent and future development, along the Schuylkill. We will take in a range of interesting sights along the river, including The Woodlands, Bartram's Gardens and the Fairmount Water Works. So, come learn about the history of the river and see the City in a way you've never experienced it--from the water!
The Liberty features wraparound seating, a fully equipped bar, restroom, and a sheltered yet open stern, and allows guests to take in all of the interesting sights along the tidal Schuylkill in comfort and style.
Boat departs promptly at 6:30 PM from the Walnut Street Dock, east side of the Schuylkill River beneath the Walnut Street Bridge. The tour should take about two hours.
