Liz is the Senior Director of Preservation & Operations at Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, an abandoned prison now used as a criminal justice museum in Philadelphia. Liz is involved at all levels of preservation planning for the 11-acre National Historic Landmark, from ongoing maintenance to major stabilization and restoration campaigns. Liz also manages the Preservation Trades Center at Eastern State, a hub for workforce development to engage people underrepresented in the skilled trades in in paid, on-the-job preservation training while forging connections to long-term careers. After starting her career as a structural engineer, Liz earned her Master of Science in Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania.
