On Saturday, November 3, the APT-DC and APT-Delaware Valley Chapters will be co-sponsoring a half day workshop focused on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs a.k.a. “drones”) for heritage documentation and investigation. Presenters will include Global Air Media of Baltimore, Vertical Access of NY & DC, and Historic Building Architects of Trenton, NJ.

Attendees will gain insights into uses of UAVs including high-resolution photography, aerial mapping, photogrammetric survey drawings, augmented visualizations, live-feed and recorded video streams, infrared thermography, and others.

We will begin with a live, outdoor UAV demonstration (weather permitting) followed by an indoor roundtable presentation and panel discussion.

Refreshments including a boxed lunch will be provided.

Continuing education credits will also be offered.
